除了全新的 Galaxy S23 手機和 Gaalxy Book 3 筆電外，Samsung 現在還公開了在硬體上更大的野心。其向華盛頓郵報證實，自己正在打造能把 AR、VR、MR 包含在一起的「延展現實」穿戴裝置。這套「XR」（Extended Reality）方案將獲得 Meta 和微軟的助力，而且首款產品會運行由 Google 專門為虛擬世界設計的特別版 Android 系統，晶片則將由高通提供。

對於進一步的細節，Samsung 還要留到之後分享。不過公司的行動產品負責人盧泰文表示生態系統在發表前需要「做好一些準備」，他們不希望重蹈某些競爭對手的覆轍，在沒有強大支援的前提下就貿然推出硬體。實際上，曾帶來過多款 Gear VR 以及 HMD Odyssey 的 Samsung 在該領域也算是老玩家了。只不過在 2018 年以後他們就逐漸遠離了相關市場，把競爭舞台留給了 Meta、HTC 等公司。
